A CSR pioneer at the service of Groupe Audit France's ESG offering
Fatoumata Niakate has a wealth of experience in public accounting and auditing, and joins Groupe Audit France as a partner, with the main task - in addition to her management duties - of supporting the firm's ESG development. It's a mission that crowns a career that, from a very early stage, has incorporated the challenges of corporate social responsibility (CSR). After obtaining a diploma in accounting and finance (DECF) in 2005 and starting her career in the finance departments of major groups, Fatoumata Niakate went back to school in 2011 to take a Master's degree in accounting and auditing (CCA) at IAE Gustave Eiffel. Her Master 2 dissertation was on "The challenges of CSR for SMEs". It was a choice that immediately positioned her as a pioneer in a field that was still finding its feet in the early 2000s, before becoming a key issue in the life of companies today.... and a new challenge for the development of audit firms, which are called upon to validate companies' ESG data. Finally, in 2020, she passed the Dauphine certificate on extra-financial reporting, which provides a block of skills covering the entire chain of issuing extra-financial information, from the issuer to the user.
After three years' experience in an accountancy firm specialising in the media and cultural businesses, Fatoumata Niakate joined Groupe Audit's Paris office in 2014 as head of accountancy and audit. In this role, she manages the teams and directly oversees major projects, including one of the largest retail purchasing groups. She became a chartered accountant in 2017, and two years later decided to work independently while maintaining close links with Groupe Audit.
These links have naturally grown stronger over the years and, in a reciprocal approach, the two parties have joined forces in the ambitious project to place Groupe Audit France in pole position among audit players in the new field of ESG data. Fatoumata Niakate's extensive experience as a chartered accountant and auditor, and her early commitment to CSR issues, underline Groupe Audit's determination to support its clients as closely as possible to their needs, by offering them the best expertise, in line with the firm's culture, heir to the Constantin Group's reputation for excellence.
