Jean-François Serval at the Forum of Firms in New York
Jean-François Serval, Chairman of Groupe Audit Serval & Associés, attended the Forum of Firms (FOF) meetings in New York on 27 and 28 June.
The FOF is one of the two associations that make up the IFAC (International Federation of Accoutants), the body that brings together the professional bodies of the accountancy professions at international level.
Jean-François Serval was able to meet and exchange views with a number of leading figures from the world of auditing and accountancy, including Catherine Albrecht, President of the FOF, Bary Naik, Director of the FOF and Brian Smith, the institution's legal advisor, not forgetting Kevin Dance, President of the IFAC.
The main theme of these two days was the implementation of the integrated report in the countries of the Americas, which includes an ESG section in the certification report. The combination of a company's two dimensions, financial and extra-financial, makes up the integrated report.
As is customary at FOF events, the qualified representatives gave an update on the development of the GSS in their respective countries.
Latin America was the focus of a number of presentations, including one by Pablo San Martin, Chairman of SMS latam, a network of audit firms operating in 21 countries across the continent, with which Groupe Audit has signed an alliance agreement. Pablo San Martin gave an update on quality control in his home country, Argentina.
